How long does a kitchen remodel take in Sterling, VA?
A full remodel in the existing footprint usually runs six to eight weeks of construction; the Sterling project on this page took about six. Taking out a wall adds one to two.

Can you take out the wall between my Sterling Park kitchen and the dining room?
On most Sterling Park plans that wall is not bearing, and it comes out with a permit and a clean header. When it is bearing, we design the beam, get the engineer’s letter, and it still comes out, just with a little more steel.

Do I need Loudoun County permits for a kitchen remodel in Sterling?
Yes. Sterling is unincorporated, so structural, plumbing and electrical work goes through Loudoun County Building and Development, not a town office.
We file it and manage every inspection. Cosmetic work that leaves the walls and services alone usually needs no permit, and we tell you which side of that line your project sits on.
What is the best fix for a 1990s builder kitchen in Cascades or Lowes Island?
Nearly always the same four moves: replace the peninsula with a real island, take the cabinetry to the ceiling, add a lighting plan instead of one ceiling fixture, and choose materials the builder never offered.
The footprint is usually fine. What changes is that the kitchen finally looks like it was designed rather than specified.
Can I see cabinets and countertops in person before deciding?
