Great Falls kitchens are rarely small, the challenge is almost never square footage. It’s that a large kitchen with a dated layout feels emptier, not grander. This home had the space; the kitchen wasn’t using it.
At estate scale, the risk is a kitchen that feels small in a big house. The budget here went into proportions as much as finishes: longer runs, a larger island, and sight lines that hold up across big rooms.
The homeowners wanted a kitchen that could serve daily family life and larger gatherings without one compromising the other.

What we built, and one honest tradeoff
A full gut renovation: custom cabinetry scaled to the room’s proportions, a substantial island, upgraded appliances, and a lighting plan designed for the higher ceilings typical of Great Falls homes.
The honest tradeoff: big rooms punish small thinking. Standard-depth cabinets and a modest island would have looked lost in here, which is why Great Falls projects trend toward the $120K+ range. Scale costs money, and pretending otherwise leads to disappointing kitchens.
