This Chantilly, Virginia, kitchen remodel was a full transformation—from demolition to a brand-new layout, upgraded natural light, and a modern two-tone cabinet design. We began by demolishing the existing kitchen cabinets and reworking the floorplan based on the final approved design. To open the space and improve flow, we removed the pantry, straightened the wall line, and removed the wall between the kitchen and laundry room.
A major highlight of this renovation is the window redesign, bringing in brighter, cleaner daylight and creating a stunning focal point around the cooking and sink zones. We installed a new, shorter picture window in the dining area, added two picture windows on both sides of the range, and placed a picture window above the main sink—all finished with crisp white window framing for a timeless, high-end look.
After structural framing adjustments, we completed drywall installation, followed by professional mudding and sanding, leaving every surface smooth and perfectly prepared for paint.
For cabinetry, we installed all-new Mobel cabinets with a sleek, contemporary style:
- Main Cabinets: MDF, Loft door style, Cloud White (matte)
- Island Cabinets: MDF, Loft door style, Black Ink (matte)
- Feature detail: metal glass cabinet doors
- Premium upgrades: soft-close doors and drawers, full-extension slides, and dovetail drawer boxes
The countertops and backsplash were both selected in Calacatta Abezzo, creating a seamless, luxury finish. Our scope included fabrication, precise cutouts, and professional installation.
Behind the walls, this project included major mechanical upgrades for a truly modern kitchen. Plumbing work included relocating sink plumbing, adding new drain and water lines for a second sink, moving gas lines for the new range, updating water lines for the refrigerator, relocating connections for the dishwasher, routing the hood vent to the exterior, and running water for a pot filler.
Electrical was fully updated to match the new layout and appliance plan, including under-cabinet LED strip lighting, interior lighting for the glass cabinet, 15 recessed lights, relocated outlets, and dedicated wiring for a fridge/freezer, two garbage disposals, oven, drawer microwave, wine cooler, beverage center, warmer drawer, and the hood.
If you’re looking for a high-end kitchen remodel in Chantilly, VA (or anywhere in Northern Virginia), this project is a great example of how thoughtful planning, quality materials, and detailed execution create a magazine-worthy result—built for daily life and long-term value.
