Custom Kitchen Renovation Leesburg
A Kitchen Worthy of the House
The 1998 oak kitchen becomes the room the house was waiting for: a layout that finally works, custom cabinetry to the ceiling, quartz or stone counters, a lighting plan instead of one ceiling fixture, and an island your family actually gathers around.
In a historic home the kitchen earns its place in the story: modern function, period-appropriate character, and nothing that fights the house. Behind the finishes of both, the plumbing, electrical and ventilation are brought fully current while the walls are open, so the kitchen works as beautifully as it looks, for decades.
Leesburg Kitchen Remodeling Contractor
The County Seat Deserves Better Kitchens
We have designed and built kitchens across Loudoun County since 2009, Best Kitchen Design in the United States in 2016, four national wins including the 2026 Möbel National Award, and a Virginia Class A licence (#2705157182). Leesburg is the county’s heart, and its kitchens come in two very different kinds.
Downtown, the Old and Historic District holds homes measured in centuries, with kitchens squeezed into rooms never designed for them, and remodeling there is a craft of its own. Around the historic core, the neighborhoods of Leesburg’s 1990s and 2000s growth carry builder kitchens now hitting their twenty-five-year mark: oak cabinets, laminate counters, and layouts a wall away from greatness. We remodel both, with our own in-house designers and craftsmen, the same team from the first sketch to the last cabinet pull.

Kitchen Remodel Process Leesburg VA
From First Sketch to Final Fixture
It starts with a free in-home consultation anywhere in Leesburg. We measure, check what the structure and systems will allow, and in older downtown homes that inspection earns its keep. Then we listen to how you actually cook and gather, because the layout should follow that, not a catalogue.
Our designers build your kitchen in detailed 3D, from layout and cabinetry to counters, lighting and hardware, so you approve exactly what will be built. Materials are chosen at our Sterling showroom. Construction runs through one project manager: Town of Leesburg or Loudoun County permits depending on your address, inspections, plumbing, electrical, structural work where walls move, cabinetry, counters and finish. Per Virginia law you start with just 30% down, and cabinetry is ordered before demolition so the kitchen never waits on a delivery.

What We Build in Leesburg
Full kitchen remodels, layout changes and wall removal, custom cabinetry, quartz and natural-stone counters, islands and breakfast areas, lighting design, and kitchens opened to family rooms for the way people actually live. Two Leesburg specialties: historic-home kitchens, where we design modern function into old rooms without erasing their character, and where the district’s Certificate of Appropriateness governs exterior changes only, so an interior kitchen remodel proceeds on standard permits; and 1990s and 2000s kitchen transformations, where the bones are good and the finishes are ready for their second act.
A recent Leesburg project shows the second kind: a full remodel in the existing footprint, new cabinetry, quartz counters, new appliances, updated lighting and flooring, about six weeks on site. See the Leesburg kitchen remodel case study for the photos of the finished room.
“We hired them for a kitchen upgrade and the craftsmanship was impressive. From cabinets to flooring, every detail was handled carefully. Our neighbors in Leesburg have already asked who did the work.” Kali Hatten, Leesburg, Google review.
We serve all of Leesburg: downtown, Lansdowne, River Creek, Potomac Station, Exeter, Kincaid Forest, Edwards Landing, Red Rock, Beauregard Estates, Tavistock Farms and the Leesburg Country Club streets, plus Lansdowne, Purcellville and the Route 7 corridor. How long does a kitchen remodel take in Leesburg, VA?
Most full kitchen remodels run six to ten weeks of construction; the Leesburg project on this page took about six in its existing footprint. Kitchens with wall removal or significant layout changes run toward the longer end.
Cabinetry lead time sets the calendar more than the building does, which is why we order it before demolition starts.
Can you remodel a kitchen in the historic district?
Yes, and it is some of our favorite work. The Old and Historic District’s Certificate of Appropriateness governs exterior changes, so an interior kitchen that does not touch a window or the roofline proceeds on standard permits.
The craft is designing modern function, storage, lighting and appliances into rooms with real history, without making the kitchen feel like a spaceship landed in an old house.
What is the best way to update a 1990s Leesburg kitchen?
Honestly assess the layout first. If the bones are right, new cabinetry to the ceiling, quartz counters, a lighting plan and better appliances transform the room in its existing footprint, which is exactly what the Leesburg case study on this page did.
If the layout is the problem, usually a wall between the kitchen and the family room, that comes out and the kitchen gains a room it always had.
Can you remove the wall between our kitchen and family room?
Usually, yes, including load-bearing walls, which we handle with proper structural engineering, a beam sized for the span, and the permits that go with it.
We confirm which kind of wall you have at the in-home consultation, not after demolition, so the plan and the price reflect it from the start.
Do you handle the Town of Leesburg permits?
Completely. Inside town limits, kitchen remodels that touch plumbing, electrical or structure run through the Town of Leesburg’s own permit office. Leesburg-address homes outside the limits, Lansdowne and River Creek among them, go through Loudoun County instead.
We know which applies to your street and we manage the application and every inspection.
Do we have to move walls to get a real change?
No. The Leesburg kitchen on this page kept its layout entirely and still came out as a different room: new cabinetry, quartz, appliances, lighting and flooring in about six weeks.
Moving walls is the right call when the layout itself is the problem. When it is not, keeping the footprint is what keeps the schedule short and the disruption contained.
